Graphic Design, Branding, & Community Management
During the pandemic, I transformed my lifelong art practice into a thriving freelance career, teaching myself graphic design, brand strategy, and the full Adobe Creative Suite to create work that is as intentional as it is visually compelling. What started as an art hobby evolved into a powerful tool—one that allows me to design with purpose, build brands with integrity, and uplift communities through thoughtful, story-driven visuals.
My work is more than aesthetics; it’s shaped by the community-centered values I live by. Whether crafting a brand identity, strategizing social engagement, or designing materials that resonate, I approach every project with a commitment to accessibility, authenticity, and impact—ensuring that design isn’t just beautiful, but meaningful.

Hound Dog
“In Melis Aker’s world premiere play HOUND DOG, a young musician returns from abroad to her hometown of Ankara, Turkey to look after her widowed father. Forced to reckon with the family and community she left behind, an investigation into her grieving parent’s strange pilgrimage to Graceland unravels into a sonic mirage of memory packed with humor, nostalgia and the love we cultivate across generations. The Peel for Citrus
About
The Peel: Internal Newsletter for Citrus
During the height of the pandemic, Citrus emerged as a vital space for community care, rooted in the 8 pillars of wellness. As part of this mission, Andrea designed and managed The Peel—an internal newsletter that served as the glue keeping our team and stakeholders informed, connected, and supported.
Beyond recapping meetings and organizational updates, The Peel prioritized holistic wellness, offering book recommendations, alternatives to Amazon, local businesses to support, regional news, recipes, curated work music mixes, and a preview of upcoming meetings. It was more than just an internal document; it was a reflection of Citrus’ values in action, ensuring that while we showed up for the community, we also showed up for each other.
Visual Art
My foundation as an artist is rooted in painting, with gouache as my preferred medium. Through color, texture, and symbolism, my work bridges the personal and the communal, blending Southwest Chicanx aesthetics with astrological, historical, religious, and queer ancestral imagery. My art is a reflection of identity, storytelling, and the unseen forces that shape us.
What began as personal exploration has grown into commissioned works, show posters, children’s book illustrations, and custom art pieces, each carrying the same intentionality and depth as my studio practice. Whether creating for myself or others, I aim to craft visuals that evoke, honor, and connect—offering space for reflection, representation, and the reclamation of stories often left untold.
