About Me
Andrea Negrete is a Chicane creative with deep roots in the Rio Grande Valley, where the blend of Tejas and Mexico has shaped her expansive worldview. As a multi-hyphenate artist—actor, painter, writer, photographer, deviser, and unprofessional cook—Andrea sees the world through a lens of multitude, always seeking the intersections where creativity and community meet.
With over 20 years of acting experience, including a decade focused on new work development, Andrea’s passion for storytelling is matched only by her commitment to community building. After five years of facilitating social-emotional learning in NYC public schools, she pivoted to branding and social media strategy, turning her art hobby into a successful career that helps creatives bring their visions to life.
In her role as Director of Community Relations + Communications at MTF, and as a consultant for other clients, Andrea focuses on outreach and engagement, striving to ensure that the org’s mission resonates deeply within its community. Whether she’s crafting compelling social media content, managing websites, or collaborating on fundraising initiatives, Andrea approaches her work with empathy, honesty, and a firm belief in the power of collective action. She’s dedicated to making her communities a more inclusive, supportive, and accountable space for all.
Deeply anti-capitalist and committed to the principles of collective liberation, Andrea centers these values in everything she does. She’s passionate about the power of people and loves supporting fellow creatives as they bring their dreams to life. Collective visioning? That’s her jam.
You can also catch Andrea on stage—she returned to Off-Broadway this past Fall in NYC and is excited to be back in LA. So, whether you need a community advocate, a creative collaborator, or just someone to bounce ideas off, Andrea’s here to help.
